Silvan opens new city store on Lyngby Hovedgade
On Saturday September 2nd, Silvan opens the doors to a new city store – this time on the iconic Lyngby Hovedgade 66. Customers in Lyngby will experience an extra focus on convenience that makes it easy to begin do-it-yourself projects at home.
The new three-story city store, on approx. 700 square meters, provides a modern take on a hardware store with a central location. Most recently, Illums Bolighus had its home at on the address, but now furniture, lamps and home interiors have been replaced with nails and screws, tools, and paint.
– It should be easy to get started on do-it-yourself projects at home. Therefore, we have a great focus on helping and guiding our customers, like we also offer a range of different services that make it easier to start and succeed projects at home, says Klaus Dolmer, CEO at Silvan.
The new Silvan store offers multiple services such as sawmill, where you can get wood cut to special dimensions, and tool rental, where you can rent tools, you don’t have at home. It is also possible to pick up parcels from the parcel shop or get your keys copied.
Popular city concept
The new store on Lyngby Hovedgade 66 is one of nine city stores in total, located in Denmark’s largest cities. During the summer 2023, Silvan has opened three new city stores in Århus and Copenhagen. In the city stores, convenience is key, and focus is on supporting every initiative to make home improvements as easy as possible along with a great shopping experience. According to CEO of Silvan, Klaus Dolmer, the concept has been exceptionally well received.

The store is placed on Lyngby Hovedgade 66, 2800 Kongens Lyngby. Opening hours: Mon-fri: 9-19 and Sat-Sun: 9-18.
